READ ME: Discover why I highly recommend these vintage lenses for your collection! This review series focuses not on technical specs, but on the lens’ unique character, quirks, and my personal experiences with each.

Impressions: This is my favorite vintage lens. Period, but the Super Takumar 50mm F1.4 is a close second. The perfect botanical photography vintage lens. Good with cats too, okay with mountains. I have another review where I praised the $40 Super MC Takumar 135mm F3.5 for many of the same things this lens does. This lens does them better but costs $100. The only thing I dislike about this lens is that it makes me skip taking the SMCT 135mm out for walks.

Size/Weight: A large, heavy (stupid heavy) Soviet era chunk of glass.

Favorite Usage: Flowers, Mountain Landscapes, Trees, Cats, Spiderwebs
