Summary
- P2P : Atresia NM to Valley of Fires NM
- Distance : 220 miles / 355 kms
- Best Season : Late spring or early fall
- Pack for : Hot temperatures and mild winds. Bring sunscreen and extra water. Mild Sandstorms near Alamogordo are common.
- Plan for : GPS will say this is a 3.5 hour route, you should probably plan to take at least 6 hours of drive time to allow for stops and pictures along the way.
