In the last week or two Ricoh released information about their newest iteration of the Ricoh GRiii (A grey/brown themed “Diary Edition”) along with a firmware update including the negative film simulation.

Ricoh’s photos of the camera below. As with most of the Ricoh special editions of the GRiii/X, the re-skined body colors really need to be seen in person to appreciate their differences/charm. They also tend to look different in different lights. So keep that in mind. By the way this is NOT a sponsored post.

Photos sourced from Ricoh’s press release.

You can read more about the firmware update in this link.

About the negative film sim, Ricoh says: “‘Negative-Film’ has been added as a new Image Control mode. By adjusting the color tones based on various negative films, the perfect balance between the faded look of photo printed from negative film and well-defined colors has been achieved.”
