I’ve looked into it, and initially shared your same views on the R6mkii , but it appears that the “new” 24mpx sensor is just repurposed from an older DSLR , I can’t justify it right now as an upgrade over my current R6. I might still bite on it in the future, but I’m a holding out for the R5mkii to fix some problems I addressed here. Notably, I had not discovered CRAW on my R5 before writing this article. It makes the files about 1/2 the size and when testing it on my R6 the import process is much much faster , so I may be able to live with the Mk2 R5 in the future if it has CRAW as well
