In some ways, the SL/2/2s were the digital spiritual successors to the R film cameras. Having had the SL myself and also an Fuji Xpro3, I even shot both with Leica R glass as you have (35mm and 50mm). I can say you are correct in that the shooting experience “feels” more like the “digital R” on the Fuji , also I’ve written a recent article outlining the problems with the SL. I will say though, that the “Leica vibe” (and whatever that truly means or how much it’s really worth) is definitely missing from the Fuji files , which is fine, Fuji isn’t trying to be Leica, they’re trying to be Fuji. You might find some of the old Canon L39 lenses (often paired with old Leicas) to be an even more compact and nice option with your XT3. I tried the Canon 35mm f1.8 L39 on my Xpro3 and it gave me a really compact 50mm experience that felt more like my Leica photos than any other Fuji combo. Hope this comment wasn’t too long or rambling. Cheers!
