Great read! As a partially deaf photographer(full deafness in my right ear, and major hearing loss in my left ear) it’s nice to read more about this subset of society, it feels like the deaf “disability” experience often gets overlooked and simplified down to “can you do use sign language ?” or people simply yelling and speaking slowly to you like you’re an idiot. I will see hundreds of articles about blind people or mobility disabled people before I see a single hard of hearing focused article. Thanks for bringing more of these stories to people’s attention.
