Revisting the Super MC Takumar 35mm F2
Coming back to my favorite lens for APSC mirrorless cameras.
Note: This is a follow-up to my original review of the Super MC Takumar 35mm F2 and in some ways, the Super Takumar 35mm F3.5 as well, a budget friendly version of this lens for those who don’t need the F2 aperture benefits. Refer to the original review for specs/details.
Cameras Tested on:
- Canon R6
- Lumix S5ii
- Leica CL
- Leica SL
I’ve had this lens, and its sister the F3.5 version, for about 1 year and 2 years respectively.
Both were intitailly a bit underwhelming on full frame cameras. This is in part a personal preference thing, simply because I really haven’t ever found that I enjoyed 35mm as a field of view (preferring 28mm or 50mm).
Example photos from the F2 and my Leica CL will be scattered throuhgout this review.
