This is in fact a sort of follow up to our interview with The Hasbens in 2022.
A few years ago I befriended a group of musicians in Bend, Oregon who hailed from upstate New York.
They had formed The Hasbens band, a jam fusion group that took influences from The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers Band, and other groups like Phish. If you’re into the “jam band” scene that sounds like a pretty predictable output, because most jam bands would cite those as their influences.
However, The Hasbens really “walked the walk” and took those influences and made them their own.
